Vision, Values, Mission and Priorities

Sir Martin Frobisher Academy

At Sir Martin Frobisher Academy, our vision is to create a safe, ambitious, and inclusive learning community where every child is empowered to succeed academically, socially, and personally. Inspired by the principles of excellence and opportunity for all, we strive to ensure that every pupil develops the knowledge, skills, and character needed to flourish both now and in the future.

Our Vision

We aim to be a school where:

  • Every child achieves their full potential, regardless of starting point
  • High expectations and high aspirations underpin everything we do
  • A love of learning is nurtured and celebrated
  • Children feel safe, valued, and inspired every day

Our Values

Our core values guide our actions, decisions, and relationships across the academy:

  • Consideration – encouraging pupils to show kindness, empathy and respect towards others
  • Communication – supports children in expressing themselves clearly, listening to others, and building strong relationships
  • Co-operation – promotes teamwork, collaboration, and working together to achieve shared goals

These values are embedded in daily school life and shape the culture of our academy, they are also fully aligned to our Reach2 Touchstones.

Core Values

At Sir Martin Frobisher Academy, we actively promote fundamental global values, preparing pupils to become responsible citizens in modern Britain.

  • Democracy – Pupils are encouraged to express their views and participate in decision-making, for example through school councils and pupil voice activities
  • Rule of Law – We help pupils understand the importance of rules, laws, and consequences, both within school and in wider society
  • Individual Liberty – Pupils are supported to make choices safely and develop independence within a supportive environment
  • Mutual Respect – Respect for others is central to our ethos; we celebrate differences and promote kindness and understanding
  • Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs – We foster an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and pupils learn about and respect different cultures and traditions

Through our curriculum and daily interactions, these values are lived and reinforced, helping our pupils to grow into thoughtful, respectful, and active members of society.

Together, our vision, values, mission, and priorities create a strong foundation for success, ensuring that every child at Sir Martin Frobisher Academy is equipped to achieve and thrive.
