School Uniform

At Sir Martin Frobisher Academy, we take pride in our school uniform. Wearing the correct uniform helps students feel part of our community, promotes equality, and supports a focused learning environment. Many academies highlight that uniform encourages a sense of belonging and high standards of presentation. 

Why We Have a Uniform

Our uniform is designed to:

  • Create a sense of identity and belonging
  • Encourage pride and professionalism
  • Promote equality among pupils
  • Prepare pupils for future workplaces

Main School Uniform

Pupils are expected to wear:

  • Frobisher blue jumper or cardigan
  • White polo shirt, shirt or blouse
  • Black/grey trousers or knee-length skirt
  • Plain black school shoes

PE Kit/Forest School

For outdoor education lessons, pupils should wear:

  • PE t-shirt
  • PE shorts or jogging bottoms
  • Trainers suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Optional jumper / fleece for colder weather

Hair, Jewellery & Appearance

To maintain a smart and safe environment:

  • Hair should be neat and tied back
  • No makeup
  • No false nails
  • No jewellery of any kind (studded earrings are permitted, and must be removed for physical education)

Outdoor Wear

  • Coats must be worn for outdoor play when the weather is cold and/or wet
  • Sun protective hats should be worn during summer terms

Children will not be permitted to play outside during colder months if they do not bring a coat

Children are advised to wear sunscreen in the summer term

Sir Martin Frobisher academy understands the requirement for schools to make sure that second-hand uniforms are available for parents to acquire (either from the school directly or from an established scheme)
